We find the structure that's overloaded, unload it, and aim for the fewest visits it takes to get you back to your life. No guesswork. No endless treatment plans.
The better we do our job, the less you need us.

You've probably already tried the whole list — rest, pills, exercise sheets, adjustments, maybe injections. Each one helped for a while. Then the relief wore off, and the pain was right where it started. Maybe a doctor told you everything looks "normal." But nothing feels normal to you.
Relief that fades isn't failure — it's information. The pain signal was treated, but the load on the tissue never changed.
A "normal" report doesn't mean nothing's wrong. It usually means nobody measured the loading.
Not a surgical candidate, still in pain. That gap is exactly where our exam lives.
Neither do we. Our job is to change what's pressing on the tissue — not just quiet the alarm.
Too much load on a tissue — and a tissue that's become sensitive under it.
Every common treatment works on one half of that equation. Pills and shots turn down the alarm. Rest lowers your activity — but not the load; gravity doesn't take a vacation. Adjustments free up motion. All real tools. But none of them unload the structure that's complaining.
Our biomechanical exam finds exactly which structure is overloaded — disc, nerve, joint, or muscle — and then we unload it, progressively, until it calms down and can carry your life again.

It's the model Dr. Barton wrote the book on — and the reason patients come to us after everything else "worked, then wore off."

29+ years treating spines in Pasadena. In 2005 he was the patient — a lumbar disc herniation, a surgery he didn't want, and a recovery he found on a decompression table instead. He bought his first DRX9000 the next year and wrote Chronic Back Pain?, the book on why pain keeps coming back after treatment.
More about Dr. Barton →
A Southeast Texas native who grew up outdoors and in every sport that would have him, Dr. Clark was a personal trainer before he was a doctor — he still thinks in movement and load. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic at Texas Chiropractic College, right here in Pasadena, graduating magna cum laude with the Outstanding Student Award for his clinical training.
Two doctors. One rule: find the real problem, treat it in as few visits as it takes, and tell you the truth — including when we're not the right fit. Depending on the day you come in, you'll see Dr. Barton or Dr. Clark — same exam, same loading model. Decompression consultations are with Dr. Barton.
Sudden force affects more than one tissue. A full biomechanical evaluation finds which ones, so nothing gets missed while the insurance clock runs. Same-day appointments.

We can't promise outcomes — no honest doctor can. We promise a flat $49, a doctor who doesn't watch the clock, and a straight answer: decompression fits your problem, or it doesn't and here's what's next. Some people we examine, we refer elsewhere.
This month’s vouchers remaining. When they're gone, consultations book at $159. The count only changes when reality changes.
$49 offer not available to Medicare, Medicaid, or other federal health program beneficiaries. This visit determines whether decompression fits your case; it is not a promise of outcome. Requests are confirmed by a call from our staff.
Online in under a minute, or call — a human answers. Same-day slots held for injury patients.
Bring any imaging you have. Your doctor reviews it with you at the screen — a scheduled 30-minute consult where nobody watches the clock.
Most patients begin treatment the same day — and you'll know the plan, the price, and the point of every visit.

Yes. Pain that doesn't show on a basic report is still real — our exam measures the loading most visits skip.
As few as it takes. We don't sell year-long plans; we treat, release, and you come back as needed.
Any imaging or reports you have. Dr. Barton reads MRIs with you, in plain English.
No — and we'll tell you when it isn't. The honest truth is that it cuts both ways: sometimes the problem is too big for decompression — that's a surgeon, and we'll say so and point you right. And most of the time it's not big enough — most back pain resolves with simpler care, and we treat it that way. But in between is a real group whose discs and joints genuinely need unloading. For them, decompression is exactly the right tool — and the exam is how we find out which group you're in.
